Will Wheeling library get car-charging stations?

Four charging stations for electric vehicles could be coming to the Indian Trails Public Library in Wheeling.

Officials at the library, 355 Schoenbeck Road, have asked Wheeling for permission to install the stations, which are becoming increasingly popular as electric vehicle ownership grows.

The village’s plan commission will discuss the request, which would require a change to the site plan for the library, on Wednesday. Oct. 9. The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at village hall, 2 Community Blvd.

The plan commission advises the village board on development issues. Village board approval will be necessary.
