What voters want

Kudos to Michael Barone. His recent column in the Daily Herald explains that voters don’t want to hear various policy promises from either candidate. They want to hear about the elephant in the room, the United States’ insurmountable national debt.

The current redistribution of wealth in the U S is admirable but unsustainable. The U S government pays 2.74 billion dollars per day in interest alone. That interest-only repayment will exceed one trillion dollars per year in 2024. This amount will only grow as politicians promise more handouts to voters.

Whatever happened to fiscal responsibility?
