Reject candidate’s extremist views

Do we really need another misguided MAGA disciple in our Illinois House of Representatives?

With her extremist GOP political pals in tow, candidate for the 51st District Tosi Ufodike seems to be OK with the tired litany of Republican falsehoods that run counter to the reality-based values of a majority in our community.

In short, most of us believe:

The presidential election of 2020 was not “stolen.”

Teachers in our schools are not part of some grand conspiracy to “indoctrinate” or “groom” our kids as her endorsers at the Illinois Family Institute (a designated hate group by Southern Poverty Law Center) claim.

Forcing victims of rape or incest to carry their pregnancy to term is an affront to the freedom and dignity of women.

Common sense gun safety legislation is a way to keep our families safer.

To enable the extremist views of Ms. Ufodike and her supporters to become the voice of our community in Springfield would be a serious mistake that we will regret.
