Not this time

I was a strong supporter of the last Lake County Forest Preserve (LCFP) referendum in 2008. The LCFP acquired a lot of land and did a lot of good with the money raised via that successful referendum. But, I will be voting no on Nov. 5 on the referendum to raise $155 million.

I believe the LCFP now has about enough land, and I am not willing to increase my already ridiculously high property taxes further for the purchase of more land. I could probably support a more limited amount for some of their envisioned improvements on existing LCFP properties. But on the referendum as it is, I will be voting no.
