Elgin church to give away winter coats Oct. 11-12

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Elgin is giving away new and gently used winter coats and jackets free to anyone in the community who needs them.

The distribution will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 11 and 12. The church is located at 1250 Parkview Drive, Elgin. Simply find a coat that fits, and it's yours to take home. Most sizes will be available, so bring the family!
