Rhetoric, guns and assassination

Trump has blamed the Biden/Harris rhetoric for attempts on his life, because of claims he is a danger to our democracy. Well, my only answer to this is his attempt to overthrow the 2020 election with zero evidence and 64 lost court cases and all of his attorneys having been disbarred for lying to the courts. And of course, Jan. 6.

Let’s look at Trump and Vance hateful rhetoric in recent weeks. Eating dogs and cats, a complete lie; women with no kids somehow are not really women and because Harris doesn’t have biological kids of her own, she is somehow less of a mother; immigrants are nothing but released prisoners, rapists, drug dealers and murderers. All of this and the thousands of other hateful lies he spreads is what is driving these issues.

It's important to look at the latest attempt, I am not sure the suspect should be charged with anything but trespassing. This happened in Florida, where as in any good Republican state, it is legal to carry almost any weapon. This person was within his rights under state law to purchase a weapon of war and carry it. He did not shoot. Thinking about a crime but not carrying it out is not a crime. So, what did he do? The only illegal thing he did was trespass on a golf course. He should pay his fine and be released. This is Florida law.

The fact that Trump doesn’t like someone carrying a weapon of war around him is his problem. After all, it is legal to carry. Why should Trump be treated better than any other person in Florida that doesn’t want to be around people carrying weapons of war? My answer to that to get used to it like the rest of us.
