Warrenville Public Library hosts Sunday Music Matinees

The Warrenville Public Library District kicked off its Sunday Music Matinee series for 2024-25 on Sept. 15 with an inspiring Spanish guitar performance by Guitarra Azul.

It was the first concert of the season, which runs through March 2025. The complete matinee lineup is listed below. It includes a revised date for the Petra van Nuis jazz performance. It had been scheduled on Nov. 10 and will now be held on Nov. 3.

The concerts will be 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the combined east and west meeting room at the library, 28W751 Stafford Place.

The next program will be on Oct. 13 with Steve Justman offering a Johnny Cash tribute.

It will be followed by the jazz duo with Petra van Nuis on Nov. 3.

On Dec. 1, Heather Braoudakis will be performing “Holiday Classics.”

Starting the new year, it will be acoustic artist Aaron Kelly on Jan. 12.

On Feb. 9, it will feature a Cole Porter Valentine trio with Elaine Dame.

On March 16, the series will wrap up with “Irish Tunes” by Rick Pickren.
