GPS Parent Series in Spanish to share tips on navigating college applications
On Thursday, Oct. 10, the B-PAC: Glenbard Bilingual Parent Advisory Council and the GPS Parent Series in Spanish will present “Planning for Success in High School and Beyond: The College Application Process” with Lissete Ochoa and Lizette Ramirez at 7 p.m. via Zoom.

Completing high school and college can be an important determinant in a person’s future. Families can play a key role in their child’s future by understanding the necessary steps for college readiness. This webinar will help students through the process of realizing their college and career dreams.
Students and families will learn about college admission from start to finish; the importance of the high school transcript; financial aid; scholarships; the role of testing and more. A panel of speakers will share an easy-to-understand guide for students and their caregivers with emphasis on important deadlines and benchmarks that prospective students will encounter as they prepare for their future.
Ochoa is a school counselor at Glenbard West High School, and Ramirez is a school counselor at Glenbard East High School. They will be joined by representatives from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.
