Bartlett's 3rd annual Oktoberfest set for Sept. 27-28

Bartlett is hosting the third annual Oktoberfest on Friday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28, at Leiseberg Park, 325 E. Devon Ave.

Presented by the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce, Bartlett Rotary Club, and Bartlett Lions Club, this annual event promises a weekend filled with live music, dancing, American and German cuisine, activities for all ages, beer and wine, local exhibitors, and of course, Oktoberfest merriment.

Oktoberfest kicks off on Friday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. followed by Festival Sponsor’s MORE Brewing Co.’s Tapping of the Golden Keg on Friday at 4:30 p.m. Fun continues until 10:30 p.m.

The fest runs from noon to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday with live music, afternoon kids' activities, food, exhibitor booths, fun and of course, an excellent selection of beer. New this year, Kori’s Koop Food Truck will join the Oktoberfest fun, serving pork schnitzel with a side of mashed potatoes — available on Saturday only, 3-7 p.m. Brats, hot dogs, burgers, and soft pretzels will be available all weekend.

Admission to Oktoberfest is free with beer/food tickets available for purchase.

There is no parking available at Leiseberg Park, so ride sharing, Uber, or Lyft transportation is encouraged. Festgoers can also take advantage of free parking throughout downtown Bartlett. In addition, the East lot at Senior Flexonics, across the street from Leiseberg Park, will be open for fest parking. This lot will be clearly marked with event signage. Parking is also available at the Community Center’s Jim Jensen Pavilion parking lot, 620 W. Stearns Road, with free round-trip shuttle service to Leiseberg Park. A Hanover Township shuttle will leave from the Jim Jensen Pavilion (Stearns and S. Bartlett intersection) and run on a continuous loop to and from Leiseberg Park starting at 5 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. The last return trip will depart from Leiseberg Park at 10:45 p.m.
