Des Plaines man accused of theft worth $3,500 from Bartlett vape shop
A Des Plaines man was charged Monday after being accused of stealing a $3,500 item from a smoke and vape shop in Bartlett.
Keenan Howard, 24, was charged with a Class 3 felony for retail theft over $300.
Bartlett officers responded to the shop in the 100 block of East Lake Street at about 8:40 p.m. Monday.
Several hours later, Bartlett officers responded to a report of a disturbance on the 100 block of Lucille Court. During that investigation, they identified Howard as the retail theft suspect and arrested him.
Howard was taken to the Cook County courthouse in Rolling Meadows Tuesday to await a pretrial detention hearing.
