Applications due Oct. 11 for Geneva council vacancy

Applications are due Oct. 11 for appointment as a Ward 5 alderperson on the Geneva City Council.

The person appointed will take over for Craig Maladra, who is resigning, and will serve until May 5.

Letters of interest should be sent to the City Clerk, City of Geneva, 22 S. First St., Geneva, IL, 60134, Attention: 5th Ward Alderperson Vacancy.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, and a registered voter. Mayor Kevin Burns will appoint the replacement with the consent of the city council.
