Forest preserve candidates to square off in Glen Ellyn forum

The Glen Ellyn chapter of the League of Women Voters will hold a forum featuring candidates running for the District 4 seat on the DuPage County forest preserve commission.

Democratic incumbent Jeff Gahris and Republican challenger Jeff Castle are set to participate in the forum from 6:25 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at the Glen Ellyn Historical Society at 800 N. Main St. The event will begin with a welcome at 6:15 p.m.

Gahris was first elected a forest preserve commissioner in 2020. Castle is a current Milton Township trustee.

The forum will be moderated by Barbara Laimins, a past president of the League of Women Voters of Wheaton.
