The free, family-friendly festival will be 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday and noon to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Panton Mill Park, 9 N. Water St. in South Elgin. There will be food trucks, beer, and beverages. It will be held rain or shine; bring blankets and lawn chairs, but no coolers, please.

On Friday, SODA will be rocking all of your favorite classic and current hits from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

On Saturday, School of Rock performers will open the stage from 1 to 2:30 p.m., followed by local favorite, The Lenny’s, from 5 to 7 p.m. The versatile 10-piece band The Simpletones will close out the fest from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Also on Saturday, from noon to 4 p.m., there will be an arts & crafts fair; Kids Fest with face painting, tattoos, sidewalk murals, inflatable obstacle course and more; and a Sponsors & Community Showcase. Stop by the Touch-A Truck from noon to 2 p.m.

There also will be a basket raffle and 50/50 raffles.

The Rotary Club of Elgin has granted more than $35,000 last year alone for scholarships, community projects, youth leadership, and international initiatives. Additionally, the civic organization is sponsoring a pollinator garden at Panton Mill Park.
