Batavia Rotary hosts Trivia Night to End Polio Now, raising funds for vaccine campaign
The Rotary Club of Batavia is hosting a “Trivia Night to End Polio Now” on Saturday, Oct. 19. This engaging evening promises fun, camaraderie, and most importantly, an opportunity to contribute toward eradicating polio worldwide.
Polio is a preventable disease that remains a threat in several parts of the world. The club has been steadfast in its commitment to eradicating this disease through fundraising efforts. Over the past two years alone, the club has raised over $50,000, which directly supports the purchase and distribution of polio vaccines to vulnerable communities.
"We are thrilled to once again host Trivia Night to End Polio Now," said Margaret Blighton. "It's not just a night of fun and friendly competition; it's a chance for our community to come together and make a significant impact in the global fight against polio. Every dollar raised helps immunize children and protect them from this debilitating disease."
The event will be held at 6 p.m. at Enticing Cuisine, 1117 N. Washington in Batavia. The $60 per person ticket includes participation in the trivia competition, heavy appetizers, a drink ticket, cash bar, and the satisfaction of contributing to a worthy cause.
"We invite everyone in Batavia and the surrounding areas to join us for a memorable evening," Blighton said. "Together, we can ensure that future generations are free from the threat of polio."
There are four to eight per team; individual participants will join existing teams. For ticket purchases and more information about Trivia Night to End Polio Now, visit www.BataviaRotaryClub.org or contact Margaret Blighton at info@BataviaRotaryClub.org.
