North Aurora man faces child pornography charges

A North Aurora man is facing fourteen felony charges of possessing and disseminating child sexual abuse material.

Aaron L. Latham, 45, of the 21 block of South Adams St., was charged Thursday by the Kane County State’s Attorney with seven counts each of dissemination of child pornography, a Class X felony, and possession of child pornography, a Class 2 felony.

The charges follow an investigation by the Child Exploitation Unit, a collaboration of the state’s attorney’s office and the Kane County sheriff’s office.

Latham is being held in the Kane County jail, and his next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 20.
