Magical Starlight Theatre to host auditions for ‘Cinderella’ Oct. 5-6

Magical Starlight Theatre, a Naperville Park District program, is holding auditions for its January production of “Cinderella” on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 5-6.

Youth and adult actors, ages 9 or older, are welcome to audition for lead roles, supporting roles or the ensemble. All actors are asked to prepare a vocal piece and monologue based on their audition role. Additionally, participants will need to do a cold reading from the script as well as a dance audition.

Audition times will be 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Ave.

Prospective cast members only need to attend one of the audition dates. Callbacks will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8.

Actors can sign up for an audition time slot at www.magicalstarlight.org/cinderella-auditions/. Walk-ups are also allowed and will be placed in the next available audition slot.

Magical Starlight Theatre’s mission is to create quality family-oriented theatrical productions; to develop a creative, supportive environment for artists; and to expand our community connection through the arts. For additional information and audition materials, visit magicalstarlight.org.
