Marriott Theatre announces landmark anniversary season

Marriott Theatre announced its landmark 50th anniversary season will commence Feb. 5, 2025, with a revival of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”

The season also includes a world premiere and a revival of the Tony Award-winning but infrequently revived tuner “Titanic the Musical,” which runs April 9 through June 1, 2025.

The 1997 musical by composer/lyricist Maury Yeston and writer Peter Stone is a portrait of real passengers aboard the ill-fated “ship of dreams” that was dubbed unsinkable.

That’s followed by a new, 1980s inspired, jukebox musical “Always Something There …” (June 18-Aug. 10, 2025) by Sandy Rustin. It tells the story of a woman who wakes up on her 45th birthday to find she’s 18 again, with a chance to rewrite her life and change her future.

Next up is “Catch Me if You Can” (Aug. 27-Oct. 19, 2025), the musical based on the 2002 film about teenage con man Frank Abagnale Jr., who during the 1960s eluded police while posing as an airplane pilot, doctor and lawyer.

The Lincolnshire theater’s 2025 season concludes with “Million Dollar Quartet Christmas,” a holiday edition of the popular jukebox musical inspired by an impromptu 1956 meeting between rock ‘n’ roll pioneers Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley at Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee.

Marriott’s Theatre for Young Audiences series includes the family-friendly productions “The Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System” (Feb. 21-March 29, 2025); “Arthur & Friends Make a Musical!” (July 11-Aug. 10, 2025) and “Disney’s Finding Nemo” (Oct. 10-26, 2025, and Nov. 15, 2025-Jan. 4, 2026).

Five-show subscriptions start at $155. They’re available at marriottheatre.com or by phone at (847) 634-0200.
