Prince of Peace Pumpkin Patch opens Sept. 29
The Pumpkin Patch at Prince of Peace United Methodist Church in Elk Grove Village is returning again this year.
The patch will be open daily from Sept. 29 through Oct. 31. The whole family is invited to stroll through the patch to select the perfect pumpkin. A large variety of pumpkins are available, as well as gourds of all kinds.
The Pumpkin Patch is an annual ministry at Prince of Peace Church. Hours are 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Proceeds from Pumpkin Patch sales will benefit local ministries and ministries throughout the world.
Special events at the patch this year include Story Time at at 2 p.m. on Oct. 5; Pet Blessing and Costume Contest at 2 p.m. on Oct. 19; and Trunk or Treat at 2 p.m. on Oct 26. Also, the first 20 customers on Oct. 29 will receive a gift bag.
Prince of Peace UMC is on the corner of Arlington Heights Road and Devon Avenue, in Elk Grove Village.
