Hanover Township Fall Food Truck Festival set for Sept. 19
Hanover Township will host its annual Fall Food Truck Festival from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Township’s William Tiknis Campus, 250 S. Route 59, Bartlett. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit a variety of food trucks, enjoy live music and receive information on the township’s programs and services. Free games for kids will also be available.
“The fest brings our neighbors together with live music, food trucks and fun,” said Brian P. McGuire, Hanover Township Supervisor. “More importantly, the event provides an opportunity for residents to learn more about the services Hanover Township provides right in their own community.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to talk with officials and staff about the Township’s programs for adults aged 55 and older, after-school-programs for youth, property tax appeal assistance, veteran’s programs, health screenings, food pantry programs and more.
Food vendors include Duke’s Blues-N-BBQ, Aunt Tina’s Sound Bites, E.J. Pierogi, the Tievoli Pizza Truck, Kori’s Koop, Perk N’ Pickle, Rebecca’s Cakes by Design, My Cocina, Cousins Maine Lobster, Kona Ice and the Hawaiian Food Truck. Chicago area cover band, “GOOROOS” will headline the fest, with local artist Austin Hopkins to open on stage. A beverage tent will also offer a variety of beer and wine as well as soda and water.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to utilize the off-site parking options at the Village Church of Bartlett, 601 W. Bartlett Road, Bartlett, and the Bartlett Metra Lot at Western and Oneida avenues, Bartlett. Free shuttles will provide transportation to and from the campus.
