Discover the science behind seed dispersal at EcoLab

Do you know how to tell if a plant is a popper? A dropper? Or a plopper? Come learn about the amazing ways that different plants disperse their seeds throughout nature.

Join the Forest Preserve District of Kane County for “EcoLab: Science of Seed Dispersal,” on Saturday, Sept. 28. It will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Creek Bend Nature Center in St. Charles.

After studying the various methods of seed transportation, participants will embark on a hike to see real-life examples of seed dispersal techniques. The program will culminate with each participant creating a craft that demonstrates their chosen seed dispersal approach.
