Aurora church celebrates community fall festival

New England Congregational Church in Aurora celebrated the fall season with an outdoor community fall festival after worship services on Sunday, Sept. 8.

In addition to a luncheon, live music and games for all ages, the event also featured a bounce house, face painting, glitter tattoos and balloon sculptures.

From noon to 12:30 p.m., City of Lights Cabaret performed musical selections. Free refreshments included roasted chicken breasts, sloppy joe sandwiches, homemade desserts and beverages including root beer floats provided by the board of Community Outreach.

Community partners based at the church sponsored activities. The Alive Center offered activities for teens and preteens.

Fox Valley United Way's “Strong, Prepared And Ready for Kindergarten” (SPARK) provided events for babies, toddlers and preschoolers and Rainbow Sprouts offered activities for children.
