Lake forest preserve referendum topic of Green Drinks meeting

The facts of the Lake County Forest Preserve District’s $155 million referendum on Nov. 5 will be discussed Tuesday at the Green Drinks meeting in Libertyville.

Rebekah Snyder, director of community engagement and partnerships for the district, will discuss the referendum and its impact at the gathering, which begins at 6:45 p.m. at Pizzeria de Ville, 404 N. Milwaukee Ave.

This is the first ballot question put forward by the forest preserves since 2008, when voters approved $185 million for capital projects and land preservation.

Guests should arrive at 6:15 p.m. to place food and drink orders before the speaker begins. Contact GreenDrinksLibertyvilleIl@gmail.com for more information.
