Whining vs. grinding in Kane County

If the Kane County GOP — led by Trump supporters supporting Project 2025 — have their way, we would lose fundamental rights. We would lose our right to protest, working people would lose their right to overtime pay and women would lose their right to make key health care decisions. Our right to vote would even be jeopardized.

Project 2025 is the GOP’s blueprint to destroy our democracy. We would no longer be a free society. Kane County voters should know about this sinister plan. Kane County Democrats have different goals. Unlike these MAGA Republicans, our goals protect our First Amendment rights to free speech and to peacefully protest. Our goals keep us free to vote, free to make our own healthcare decisions and protect fair employment conditions.

I find the Kane GOP/Trump MAGA supporters have had “sour grapes” since Trump lost our county by a huge margin in 2020. They are short on policy and have no solutions to everyday problems. The Kane County Republicans have lost their way — if they ever had one in the first place.

The biggest difference between Kane County Democrats and the MAGA Republicans is that MAGA Republicans are whiners, Kane County Democrats are grinders. Instead of whining about fictitious problems, Democrats in Kane go door-to-door and get out our message, precinct by precinct. We sincerely want to know the needs of Kane County residents and are dedicated to serving Kane voters with a genuine concern for their well-being.

I’m unsure what the MAGA Republicans’ policy is — unless it’s simply to whine that they are not in power and then disrupt county proceedings during county board meetings.

Bottom line is this — our freedom, as we know it today, is on the ballot.
