Showing film is a dangerous insult

Northbrook Library Board of Trustees,

To allow the showing of “Israelism” at the Northbrook Library is beyond ignorant, but actually anti-semitic and racist. The film slanders the Israeli people, its government, and military. It is full of falsehoods, misconceptions, and outright lies. As the father of an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reservist who was activated on Oct. 7 and witnessed firsthand the horrors Hamas terrorists and many Gaza residents perpetrated on innocent Israelis, my outrage is beyond measure.

Hiding behind the cloak of “intellectual freedom and the free exchange of information” is not excusable. Would you allow the showing of The Birth of a Nation, or any movie endorsed by the KKK, neo-Nazis or ACT for America? You are betraying the residents in Northbrook and the entire North Shore by allowing this vile filth to be shown in our backyard. We will not feel safe entering the library or anywhere near the library on that day. This is a disgraceful decision that must be overturned immediately.
