The border blame

Why are the Republicans blaming the Biden/Harris administration for the border issues? I believe Donald Trump said, “I will build a Great Wall (and Mexico will pay for it.)”

Well, he did start building, then apparently lost interest and left millions of funds on the table … and never finished the wall. Probably too busy thinking up childish names to call his opponents.
