Public reception for art display in Des Plaines

A new art display at the Des Plaines History Center will kick off Sept. 19 with a public reception.

The center, at 781 Pearson St., will feature the work of Elaine Tejcek, vice president of the Des Plaines Art Guild.

The exhibition will focus on her watercolor paintings of various subjects, according to a news release.

The reception is set from 5 to 8 p.m. at the history center. Refreshments will be available.

Admission to the history center is free. Donations are accepted.
