Grant Community High School to induct new members to Hall of Fame
The Grant Community High School District 124 Hall of Fame will induct two individuals who have achieved distinction, outstanding accomplishment or significant contribution within their professional communities, schools, families or personal lives.
Grant Community High School recently announced the selection of Sharon Burr and Kim Schnoor to the Hall of Fame.
Sharon Burr, Class of 1971, is a Grant Community High graduate and staff member.
Kim Schnoor, Class of 1973, is a school board member.
The inductees will take part in several homecoming activities, including a reception in their honor, a school pep assembly, the varsity football game, and the homecoming parade.
• Thursday, Sept. 19: A reception will be held in their honor in the auditorium lobby from 6:30-7 p.m., immediately followed by the board of education meeting in the auditorium to formally recognize the induction.
• Friday, Sept. 20: The recognition at an all-school pep assembly that begins at 12:30 p.m. in the field house and at the beginning of the varsity football game that evening.
• Saturday, Sept. 21: Take part in leading the Homecoming Parade at 9 a.m.
Grant Community High School invites you to join and recognize the induction of Sharon Burr and Kim Schnoor into the GCHS Hall of Fame the evening of Sept. 19, beginning at 6:30 p.m., in the auditorium lobby, the varsity football game on Sept. 20, at 6:30 p.m., and the homecoming parade on Grand Avenue on Sept. 21 at 9 a.m.
