Join Anderson Humane for ninth annual Walk4Animals & 5K

Every year, thousands of dogs, cats, small mammals and wildlife count on Anderson Humane for a second chance. They work tirelessly to provide care and support these animals with food, shelter, medical care, and most importantly, the love and respect they deserve.

Lace up your shoes and raise funds to help Anderson Humane find homes for 4,000 pets and provide care for 3,500 injured and orphaned wild animals this year with the ninth annual Walk4Animals & 5K on Saturday, Sept. 14.

Join the purple wave by running in the 5K or bring your dog and help make Walk4Animals, a 1.65-mile walk around the Batavia Riverwalk, Anderson Humane's largest fundraiser. The 5K is a timed event. The 1.65-mile walk is not timed.

Every dollar raised for Walk4Animals ensures Anderson Humane has the resources to care for and protect every animal that comes through their doors.

If you are unable to attend, walk or run in your own neighborhood on Walk Day or stay home and gather donations to help Anderson Humane. Or don't walk at all and consider donating to a team or participant.

Walk4Animals & 5K begins and ends at the Batavia Riverwalk, 100 N. Island Ave. The day-of registration for the 5K is $60.

The race packet pickup will be noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12; 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13; and 6:45 a.m. on race day.

Medals will be awarded to the first and second-place men and women 5K participants in the various age categories. Sign up via ahconnects.org/event/walk4animals/.
