Tree honors former District 64 worker

A crab apple tree has been planted at Washington Elementary School in Park Ridge to honor a former employee.

The tree memorializes the late Denise Tully, a retired nurse who worked at Washington and at Roosevelt elementary schools, according to a post on Park Ridge-Niles District 64’s Facebook page.

Tully “had a deep passion for her work there and the people in the community,” the post read.

The tree was donated by a District 64 family.
