Public invited to Lovell FHCC 2024 Veterans Creative Arts Festival Stage Show Sept. 6

Veteran performers will take the stage in a free performance in Lovell FHCC auditorium

The Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center will hold a live stage show Friday, Sept. 6, featuring musicians, singers and dancers entered in Lovell FHCC’s annual Veterans Creative Arts Festival.

The free show is open to all and will start at 1 p.m. in the auditorium, which is located in Building 4, on Lovell FHCC’s main hospital campus, 3001 Green Bay Road, North Chicago.

The artwork and creative writing entered in the Lovell FHCC 2024 Veterans Creative Arts Festival also will be on display outside the auditorium. The CAF highlights the musical and artistic talents of area veterans who are enrolled for care at Lovell FHCC.

The CAF gives veterans a chance to participate in creative self-expression in art and performance and gain recognition. For many veterans battling PTSD, traumatic brain injuries and other mental and physical conditions caused by their military service, the creative and expressive arts serve as therapy. Top finishers in Lovell FHCC’s event may be eligible to advance to the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival. For information, contact Elizabeth LaCombe, at Elizabeth.lacombe@va.gov or (224) 336-0021.

Parking is available in Lot T. Signs will be posted.

The Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center is the nation’s only fully integrated medical facility between the VA and the Dept. of Defense, serving active duty military personnel, their families and veterans. Lovell FHCC, located in North Chicago, operates four Great Lakes Naval Station clinics and three community-based outpatient clinics in McHenry, Evanston and Kenosha, Wisconsin.
