Deer Path Art League Announces 69th Annual Art Fair on the Square in Lake Forest

The Deer Path Art League announces its 69th Annual Art Fair on the Square, among the oldest continuously running art fairs in the nation. This special event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day on Labor Day Weekend, Sunday and Monday, Sept. 1 and 2, at Market Square in Lake Forest. Admission is free for all.

The Art Fair on the Square is a prominent event featuring more than 120 talented artists showcasing their work in various categories, including painting, sculpture, photography and more. Since its start in 1955, this fair has become a cherished tradition for art enthusiasts and families alike.

In addition to art displays and artist demonstrations, visitors can enjoy live music performances throughout the weekend. On Sunday, the Roger Risher Trio will perform from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by Edgar Gabriel from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Monday, Ron “Flying Fingers” Steta will play from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Mr. Sax & The Aristocrats will perform from 2-4:30 p.m.

Food lovers will have a range of options from local vendors, including Sweet Home Gelato, Speedy Taco, The Peanut Gallery and Bangkok Tokyo.

Founded in 1954, the Deer Path Art League has a long history of supporting and celebrating the visual arts in the Lake Forest community. The Art Fair on the Square began as a small outdoor event and has grown into a significant annual celebration.
