Identity theft reported in Des Plaines
Someone made a purchase of about $500 at a store in Des Plaines using stolen debit card information, police said Friday.
The information was stolen between Aug. 9 and Thursday, police said.
The incident was reported to police after the bank contacted the victim about the purchase, which occurred at a store on the 1800 block of East Oakton Street, according to a news release.
The victim said his information had been stolen.
No other details were available.
