New trustee named in North Barrington

North Barrington resident Sarah L. Creviston was appointed to fill a vacancy on the village board Wednesday night.

Creviston succeeds Vanessa Kerrigan, who moved out of the village and resigned in May.

Creviston’s seat will be up for election in spring 2025, and she can run for office then.

The board still has one vacancy following the July resignation of Trustee Kevin Horcher. He, too, moved out of town.

Officials hope to replace Horcher on the board by mid-September.
