Lake Zurich holding virtual meeting on ADA enhancements

Lake Zurich will host a virtual meeting from 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, to discuss ongoing efforts to enhance the accessibility of village parks, facilities and sidewalks for seniors and people with disabilities.

The village retained the WT Group Accessibility Practice earlier this year to develop an ADA improvement plan for parks and facilities that identifies access barriers. The WT Group also evaluated 20 miles of village sidewalks.

The meeting will include a review of ADA requirements for parks and facilities; a discussion of access barriers viewed at Lake Zurich sites; and a chance for participants to discuss access preferences and priorities.

Registration is requested. To register, contact reach Kyle Kordell, village management services director, at (847) 540-1684 or at Kyle.Kordell@lakezurich.org. If a modification is needed because of disability to participate, such as a sign language interpreter, please advise when registering.
