Men arrested after gun found in car in Des Plaines
Two downstate men are facing charges after police found a loaded handgun in a car in Des Plaines, authorities said.
Colton Carter, 23, of Bloomington, and Keegan Marshall, 23, of Normal, were arrested Aug. 16 on the 1400 block of East Touhy Avenue. Police were in the area to investigate a complaint of a suspicious subject and found the gun while speaking with the men at the car, according to a news release.
Both were charged with misdemeanor unlawful use of a weapon and then released.
