Artist fulfills promise, exhibits at Highland Park Art Fair Aug. 24-25
Ben Roseland receives Outstanding Achievement and Best in Painting awards.
Artist Ben Roseland is excited to announce his upcoming exhibit in the Port Clinton Art Festival, 600 Central Ave., Highland Park, on Aug. 24 and 25.
The artist will be attending the festival and is looking forward to greeting visitors and art collectors during the show. This is a free event, and the public is invited to attend.
Roseland has been creating art since childhood when his mom would regularly bring home paper and large boxes of crayons for him to draw with. She would also take him to local art fairs to visit with the artists and view their artwork. Those visits ignited a passion within Roseland to create art and also became the inspiration behind his decision to show his work exclusively at art fairs around the country.
An accomplished artist, Roseland has been painting for over 18 years. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in fine arts from the Columbus College of Art & Design. He has been recognized with numerous awards for his artistic skills and for his generous community service. This past week, Roseland received the “Outstanding Achievement Award” at the Evanston Art & Big Fork Festival in Evanston. His artistic achievements were recognized when he won the “Best in Painting” category award at the June 2024 Deerfield Art Festival in Deerfield.
This young artist is also a heart attack survivor. As he healed, he made himself a promise — to continue to pursue painting and exhibit at art fairs around the country. It took him over a year to get back to painting, and Roseland is determined to fulfill that promise.
As Roseland explains, “I am truly excited to exhibit at the Highland Park Art Fair and to share my work with new audiences. I genuinely enjoy meeting new people, and I love taking the time to explain my art and discuss it with art lovers. If you are attending, I hope you will stop by and visit with me at my booth.”
Roseland has mastered his own signature style of painting lush landscapes and florals in a contemporary style, featuring unique grid-like patterns and intricate brushwork. He paints a diverse array of landscape subject matter, including florals, trees, and clouds with titles such as, “Midwest Sunset,” and “Forest Journey.” Artists that have influenced his work include Claude Monet, Georges Seurat, Vincent Van Gogh, and more.
Roseland’s boundless passion for painting and his deep love of the land have become constant inspiration for his creativity. He is looking forward to exhibiting his work in Highland Park, and he is excited to share his art with art appreciators attending the show.
For those who would like to visit and meet the artist, he will be exhibiting his paintings Aug. 24 and 25, at the Port Clinton Art Festival, in Highland Park. Attendance at the exhibit is free and open to the public.
