Man found dead in parking lot of Buffalo Grove store

A man was found dead Saturday afternoon inside a parked vehicle at the Woodman’s store in Buffalo Grove.

Buffalo Grove police discovered the body at about 2:57 p.m. while responding to reports of a foul odor coming from a blue Chevrolet Equinox parked at 1550 Deerfield Parkway, village officials said.

An investigation into the death is ongoing and the Lake County coroner will conduct an autopsy, officials said. The man’s identification was being withheld pending notification of next of kin, authorities said.
