Antioch’s Sequoit Creek Park opens Saturday
Antioch officials will host the grand opening of Sequoit Creek Park at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.
Mayor Scott Gartner and the village board will cut the ribbon on the $12.5 million gateway park east of Route 83 (Main Street) between Depot and Orchard streets.
The village’s newest park envisioned as a community hub for recreational activities, family gatherings and community events, the north end of the downtown business district.
The Antioch Rats Jazz Combo will perform and there will be cookies for the first 100 people. The park and splash pad will be open to the public all day.
