Will District 64 voters be asked to approve $92 million facility plan?
The Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 board on Thursday night is scheduled to decide whether to ask voters to borrow more than $92 million for facility improvements as part of the Nov. 5 election.
If voters ultimately approve the loans, the money would fund health, safety, and security upgrades throughout the district; mechanical and infrastructure improvements; classroom and science lab upgrades; and more.
District 64 officials have been discussing a possible referendum for facility needs for months. A recording of a recent school board discussion of the plan is available online at youtube.com/@d64boemeetings.
The public portion of Thursday’s meeting is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at Jefferson School, 8200 W. Greendale Ave., Niles.
