Palatine Public Library District Board of Library Trustees announces vacancy

Palatine Public Library District Board of Library Trustees announced a vacancy at its regular board meeting on July 16, 2024. The Board will fill this vacancy by appointment. The appointed trustee will serve until the new board is seated in May 2025, following the consolidated election on April 1, 2025.

The vacancy was created by the resignation of Hal Snyder due to personal reasons. The board is grateful for Snyder’s nine years of dedicated service to the library community.

The board of trustees is currently interviewing candidates to fill this vacancy along with the vacancy created by Bhumika Puklin, who announced her resignation at the June 2024 board meeting.

The new trustees will be appointed and sworn in at the next regular board meeting on Aug. 20, 2024.
