Des Plaines man charged with sex abuse of juvenile
A Des Plaines man is in jail after being charged with sexually abusing the juvenile daughter of a friend, authorities said Monday.
Jose Carcamo, 51, of the 1300 block of Jefferson Street, was arrested at his home Aug. 8, after the allegations were reported to Des Plaines police by the juvenile’s mother, a department spokesman said. Carcamo is charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a felony.
Carcamo appeared in Cook County circuit court in Skokie on Saturday for a detention hearing, and was ordered held until his trial. He also was ordered to have no contact with the juvenile, a spokeswoman for the Cook County state’s attorney’s office said.
Carcamo is next scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
