Look for the truth

A recent letter writer made two claims about Kamala Harris’s policies that are simply not true.

The writer claims that Harris will ban fracking. This is false. Her policy is to compare the two parties’ records on climate change, not on banning fracking.

Next up, the writer notes Harris’s support for Medicare for All, claiming that it will cost trillions of dollars and move the country toward socialism. While it’s true that the program will cost trillions, the writer fails to mention that the program will be paid for by higher taxes on billionaires, who don’t pay their fair share. And, because Medicare is such an efficient program, the government will actually spend less on health care than we do today.

Facts are much more informative than Fox News’ phony talking points. To quote the X-Files, “The Truth is Out There,” if you bother to look for it.
