Humanitarian crisis not on Israel alone
Before Israel attacked, I had written my representatives asking them to use their voice to stop Israel. Not because they weren’t justified in acting but because world opinion would be against them quickly. That is exactly what happened. Be mindful of where you get your information and be aware of some simple facts as Israel bravely proceeds to protect itself without any help.
Hamas ended the cease-fire on Oct. 7 by attacking Israel and killing/torturing more than 1,000 innocent Israeli civilians. Hamas took over approximately 120 hostages, including an infant, and those still alive are probably suffering horribly and being used to guard military assets. Hamas, by charter, has a goal of killing Jews and not negotiating. Hamas could end the suffering of the Palestinians at any time by laying down their weapons.
I am tired of the selective outrage against Israel. I hear the protests, but did you notice that the protesters never advocate for the hostages?
If you truly care about humanitarian crisis in the world, then contact the U.N. Relief Agency. They can tell you about Sudan, where 8.6 million are displaced, or Yemen, where 4.5 million have been displaced with 21.6 million in dire need of assistance, or Ethiopia, where millions need aid. In Tigray, nearly 40% of the population is suffering from extreme lack of food. In Central America, more than 1 million are threatened by violence, insecurity and persecution, mainly by the same criminal organizations who control the United States border. This suffering continues while the United States seems to be solely focused of force feeding us EVs.
If you are not as active in your advocacy for Sudan, Yemen, Ethiopia and Central America, then ask yourself why you are solely focused on Israel? If you are truthful, then the answer should upset you.
