Des Plaines food pantry needs donations

The Self-Help Closet & Pantry of Des Plaines needs packaged oatmeal, sugar and flour for its clients, the group announced Friday on social media.

Canned pineapple and jars of pasta sauce also are needed.

The nonprofit is based at 769 Holiday Lane. Goods can be donated on Mondays and Tuesdays between 9 a.m. and noon and on Saturdays from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the gray side door facing Holiday Lane.
