Previous generations didn’t wrestle with a world immersed in technology. We need a proven model for guiding our families through the rapidly changing landscape and a blueprint for setting healthy boundaries and keeping them in place.
Kanojia has firsthand knowledge of this issue. He sought professional help to break his gaming habits in college, and now his bestselling book “How to Raise a Healthy Gamer” teaches parents, guardians and caregivers a new skill set for navigating gaming culture.
This program will provide tips for setting, enforcing and troubleshooting healthy gaming boundaries. Kanojia will explain the neurological and psychological reasons that children get sucked in. He will share communication strategies for reaching young people who have developed a serious gaming habit.
Kanojia is a former Harvard Medical School instructor specializing in mental health for the gaming community. He is the president and co-founder of Healthy Gamer, a mental health platform that provides content, coaching and community for young people. His work at the Healthy Gamer Foundation includes advising the United Nations and the U.S. Surgeon General’s Office regarding youth mental health and the intersection of technology with mental health.
