St. Charles church to host wine tasting to benefit Feeding Ministries

St. Charles Episcopal Church is hosting a Feeding Ministries Fundraiser at The Wine Exchange in St. Charles on Thursday, Aug. 15, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The church has an extensive history of feeding those in need in the Fox Valley, with over 30 years of service to the Trinity Sandwich Board and Hesed House, 15 years of their Free Spaghetti Dinner, and most recently adding Lazarus House to their ministry.

As corporate food donations have declined the need has increased, with the church now currently serving more than 700 meals each month.

They hope to be able to sustain their level of assistance and be prepared to handle any growth the community requires.

The fundraiser will include wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres, a raffle and silent auction, desserts, and additional wine purchases; nonalcoholic beverages will also be served.

The Wine Exchange is located at 1 Illinois St., Unit 140, St. Charles. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased on the websites of both The Wine Exchange at thewineexchangestc.com and St. Charles Episcopal Church at www.stcharlesepiscopal.org.
