Stay sharp, stay connected; free ICL courses offered
The members of the Institute for Continued Learning (ICL) are offering “A Taste of ICL 2024.”
Seniors are invited to join for a complementary Ice Cream Social and Pop-Up Library at 3 p.m. on Sept. 10. And, free two-hour educational classes will be offered at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sept. 17 to Nov. 14. Registration begins Aug. 7.
In addition, discounted new membership fees for this nonprofit organization are available through Oct. 10.
These events will be held at the Schaumburg Roosevelt University Campus, 1400 N. Roosevelt Blvd., in Schaumburg.
ICL President Gene Flynn said “We want to share the joy of learning. Many of our members have been sharing their talents, expertise and skills for more than 10 years. Please come join us in these intelligent, informative discussions and lectures.”
ICL offers peer-led noncredit courses, programs and social events year-round. Favorite course topics include history, current events, cultural exploration, arts and crafts and social games. Other events including tours and travel are popular.
