Learn how to make your backyard more hospitable for plants and pollinators at the Des Plaines Public Library on Aug. 10.
Environmental management expert Leo Karris will lead a free program called “Backyard Ecology: A Story of Place.” It will run from noon to 1 p.m. at the library, 1501 Ellinwood St.
