Aurora’s Our Savior Lutheran welcomes new pastor

On Sunday, Aug. 4, the Rev. Eric Gardell Miller will be installed as the new pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Aurora.

The homily will be delivered by Rev. Yehiel Curry, Bishop of the Chicago Metropolitan Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, during the 9:30 a.m. service at the church, 420 W. Downer Place.

The Rev. Sunitha Mortha, Assistant Bishop of the Metropolitan Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, will preside over the service.

Pastor Miller joins the Aurora community from Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. He is a graduate of Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. Before attending Luther Seminary, Pastor Miller was a funeral director in the Miami, Florida area.

Our Savior Lutheran Church has been a vibrant congregation serving the greater Aurora, Illinois area since 1935. Everyone is welcome to join in the worship service and to extend a warm welcome to Pastor Miller.
