Glen Ellyn History Center event to explore ‘City of Big Songs’
Historian and musician Clarence Goodman will return to the Glen Ellyn History Center next week to deliver a multimedia performance about the songs inspired by the city of Chicago.
Goodman’s program, “City of Big Songs: Tunes about Chicago and the Stories Behind the Music,” begins at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10.
Goodman, a singer who also plays the guitar, will show how the City of Big Shoulders is featured in an incredible array of songs. The subjects range from Prohibition to the weather.
